What is poetry good for?
- To liberate passion.
- To get out from under the past; to surmount
it.
- I am seeking the high walls and higher
ceilings of childhood.
The windows that rise like
stained glass cathedral eyes.
From deep within the cries of the city
There lie thrills that
Can never be silenced.
- To forget, and then recover
For to forget is not to lose.
God remembers everything; only
She can stand it.
